I talked about this on Instagram stories a couple weeks ago and had so many good conversations in my DMs. It started with me talking about not feeling like going to the gym but I was going anyways. Someone messaged saying they wished they lived near me so my motivation could rub off on them.
Ya’ll…. motivation is a feeling. It can come and go. But discipline is a thing, you either have it or you don’t. I never had discipline for working out or eating right before. It took a trip we have planned this summer (where we will be wearing bathing suits basically every day) to get my butt into gear and have it and determination.
Regardless of if I feel like it or not, I go to the gym. I just 5,4,3,2,1 (where are my Mel Robbins fans at) my way there. As annoying/cliche’ as it is to say, lol, I have never regretted a workout. And you don’t have to go to the gym. You can workout at home or now that it’s getting nice most places, go for a walk or a bike ride. Just get your body moving. Those endorphins will kick in and you’ll get that exercise high that is addicting and will make you want to keep doing it.
